The Boys From Brazil: The Rise of The Bolsonaros

Series Director

3 x 60 for BBC/PBS

A series telling the dramatic political rise of right-wing Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro. I wrote and directed all three episodes of a story that is rich in skulduggery, sex, guns and God.

With heavy use of UGC this clip brings us into the transformative moment when- having suffered a life threatening attack - Bolsonaro became a martyr for the Brazilian far right.

6 x 60 for BBC

A documentary series telling the biographies of defining figures of the C20 in just ten images.

In a world of image saturation these films are about looking harder at less to reveal more.

In this clip, Tupac's best friend recalls seeing his talent emerge as a teenager on the streets of the Bronx, New York.

This premium international co-production is a story of The British Empire told by the forgotten voices of the colonised.

The clip is from shooting with the Gullah-Geechee community of Georgia, USA. Enslaved by the British, they keep their African heritage alive through music and song.

This premium factual series for commercial platform Migu unravels the mysteries behind the Chinese obsession with tea.

The clip is from the Guanyin Pavillion which is oldest tea house in China. Still a centre of the community, it has strict rules of etiquette as the owner Qiang Li explains.

Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers.

Director & Producer

1 x 60 from Oxford Films for BBC One

In this film my ambition was to bring the entire Royal Family together to reflect and remember Prince Philip in a poignant and touching tribute.

I'm very proud of this extraordinary feat of access and the film has been very well reviewed in all the major broadsheets and in the popular press too.
